How to download the Final Fantasy XIV Trial Version on PlayStation

At this point, you might have heard that critically acclaimed MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV has a free trial, which includes the entirety of A Realm Reborn plus the award-winning Heavensward expansion up to level 60 with no restrictions on playtime. And this free trial is available on every platform the game is on, including the PS4 and PS5.

  1. Go to the PlayStation Store from your console.
  2. Download FINAL FANTASY XIV Online Free Trial.
  3. When the game page opens, select Try Free Demo.
  4. Link your Square Enix account. If you don’t have one, you can make one here.

Note that every Square Enix account can only be used to access FINAL FANTASY® XIV Online Free Trial once and on one platform. You can’t log into the game's trial version (using the same account) on your PS4 and PS5.
