Final Fantasy XIV addresses Housing Lottery issues in the latest Hotfix

Hotfixes to the rescue.

Final Fantasy XIV's latest hotfix offers fixes for several issues that accompanied update Patch 6.1 for the popular MMO from Square Enix. The most notable issue addressed applies to the Housing Lottery system, a new system introduced to create a fair chance for players to get new houses.

Initially, players couldn't enter the housing lottery for relocation under certain extenuating circumstances. The credentials were unclear to players, so Square Enix clarified this on their Lodestone for the latest hotfix.

Apr. 14 Update Details

  • Players previously could not enter the housing lottery relocation depending on location and certain situations.
  • Legacy characters had an issue with character profiles failing to apply on the adventurer plate when Legacy Marks were unequipped.

Square Enix also disclosed that patch 6.11 would address the following issues, and the team is aware that these issues are impacting players:

  • White Mage's Aero II spell issues
  • Bard's the Wanderer's Minuet skills ability issues
