Final Fantasy XIV Series 3 PvP details
As mentioned, Series 3 PvP launched on January 10, 2023. PvP Series last for the duration of a major patch. For example, Series 1 ran between patch 6.1 to patch 6.2, with Series 2 beginning in 6.2. As a result, Series 3 will come to an end with the release of Patch 6.4, and a new series of PvP will begin.
During the season, they’ll be ranked Crystalline Conflict, and a sort of battle pass of rewards. These rewards are unlocked by gathering Series Experience from completing any PvP event. The rewards include Trophy Crystals, which can be exchanged for generic PvP glamour rewards at the Crystal Quartermaster at the Wolves' Den Pier (X: 4.4, Y: 6.1), and five unique seasonal rewards.

FFXIV’s new Crystalline Conflict map - The Clockwork Castletown
Patch 6.3 also introduced The Clockwork Castletown, a new Crystalline Conflict map. This new map has a number of quirks that make it unique. First, there are Trick Floors, which will trigger if you spend too long on them, launched you upwards and damaging them. Second, there are Trick Doors, which will teleport you far away. These are one way, so you can also use them to escape.
There’s also the Pneumatic Parade, which summons a number of neutral and undamageable creatures. These include:
- Clockwork Yojimbo, which acts like Yojimbo from the Gold Saucer GATE.
- Clockwork Onmyoji who follows a set path, and uses his gaze ability to shrink you, deal less damage, and take more damage.
- Piles of Gold which will fill your Limit Gauge.
