Many fans were excited when rumors of a PC version of Final Fantasy XVI were floating around the internet. Unfortunately, Yoshi-P's words "Don't worry about that, buy a PS5!" put this rumor to bed, even if there were some slight translation issues. While I find myself having a PS5 and not needing to worry about a PC port to play this title, this isn't the case for all Final Fantasy fans.
That said, there are no plans for a PC version of FFXVI at this time, and nothing has been mentioned. This does not make this impossible, as the same was true for Final Fantasy VII Remake, which eventually received a PC port. This opens up the question of if and when will FFXVI release on PC.
What is Final Fantasy 16 PC release date speculation?
There is no concrete info on when we can expect a PC port of FFVI. However, we can look at FF7R and speculate a release date based on that. Final Fantasy VII Remake was initially released on PlayStation on June 10, 2021, but did not receive a PC release date until later. In fact, it received two—launching on Epic Games on December 16, 2021, and finally on Steam on June 17, 2022.

What to expect from the Final Fantasy 16 PC release?
If FFXVI does come to PC, we likely won't see it for at least six months, and it may be a timed exclusive to certain platforms. FF7R was exclusive to Epic Games and did not release on Steam until the following year, about a year after the PlayStation release. So a PC release is possible, with an Xbox release being almost out of the question, but we'll have to wait and see.
Will FF16 PC come to Steam?
There is no guarantee that FFXVI will come to Steam, just as there is no confirmation that it will get a PC release at all. FFXVI was built exclusively for the PlayStation 5 and did not even launch on PlayStation 4. If it does come to PC and Steam, you will likely need a powerful rig to run it, but launching on Steam will give more players access to the title.
