How to take photos for hints in Fatal Frame Mask of the Lunar Eclipse
Hint photos reveal themselves as clues after you've taken a photo of an orb. If you've tried a few times without getting the hint that you're looking for, then try to stand closer to the orb. If you're using a controller, you might feel a vibration as you point the lens toward the orb. When this happens and the circle in your viewfinder turns blue, then it's picture-snapping time.
You'll need to be close enough for the orb to take up the entire frame. After taking the photo, you'll see that it begins to burn away, revealing the hint you were looking for. So, even if you think you're standing a good enough distance away from the orb to be able to snap a hint photo, there's a good chance you're probably wrong.
