Far Cry 6 has gone gold

Ubisoft has announced today that Far Cry 6 has gone gold. The sixth entry in the Far Cry series releases October 7, 2021, on Xbox, PC, and PlayStation. You might be wondering what the term gone gold means and we'll tell you.

This means the game has been passed compliance requirements and is fully playable. It has been deemed to play with stable performance and the manufacturer has approved it. The name gone gold comes from when the practice of sending a disc to be manufactured first started and the disc was gold.

With four weeks left between going gold and Far Cry 6's release date, Ubisoft will focus on polishing the game and fixing any bugs. Ubisoft has put a lot of work and passion into this game, you can check out their official announcement below.

Far Cry 6 allows players to play as either a male or female through the protagonist Dani Rojas as they attempt to liberate the occupied Yara. Ubisoft has confirmed that Far Cry 6 will have a free next-gen update for both digital and physical purchases. Players only have to wait a short four weeks before they experience the next action-packed entry in the Far Cry series.
