Over the past several years, there has been a common trend where games require a constant internet connection to play even single-player campaigns. Although most of these requirements are met with plenty of backlash, some developers continue the trend. With Far Cry 6 being as big as it is, many players wonder if it will follow the same trend.
Although there is no official word from Ubisoft or the game's official Twitter account, the answer to "Can you play Far Cry 6 offline" is almost certainly Yes. Based on the developers' policies for previous installments in the Far Cry 6 series, players will not be required to have an internet connection to play the campaign.
However, there is a catch. For one, the game is designed for players to drop in and out of each other's campaigns on the fly, which means that it is geared towards co-op. Additionally, Ubisoft (the game's development company) has occasionally required an internet connection to register it to your account when the game first starts. They have made the game more enjoyable with friends, so you'll need an internet connection to get the full experience.
Beyond those facts, there is no direct answer to whether or not the game requires you to be online to play. Nevertheless, the official FarCryGame Twitter account has made it known before that you can play their previous games' campaigns offline.
