Evil West dev explains how co-op makes the campaign more challenging

Evil doesn't stand a chance.

Evil West's campaign may be a dark and dangerous place, but you can lessen evil's grip on the American Frontier by grabbing a buddy and forming a posse of your own. Work together and slay vampires, werewolves, demons, and more side-by-side with your friends.

The IGN YouTube channel shared an exclusive clip of Evil West's co-op in action. In this clip, Flying Wild Hog's Tomasz Gop, the lead producer working on Evil West, details how co-op affects the campaign in this unique take on the Wild West.

The most apparent change will be that co-op ramps up the difficulty. As you gain a partner to fight evil, so do the enemies you face. Certain encounters will be more difficult and may even be changed from the normal single-player campaign. This means you can enjoy extra challenges by grabbing a wingman and truly showing your grit.

Tomasz Gop also explains that while the campaign supports co-op, it was intentionally built with single-player in mind. You can play the entire campaign with a friend, though only the host will retain story progression. Evil West's co-op campaign is the perfect way to enjoy the game on a second playthrough with added challenge and a buddy.
