Elden Ring is filled to the brim with bosses for players to challenge on their journey to become Elden Lord. Many of the bosses in the game are optional, but that does not mean they should be missed. The Cleanrot Knights bosses will provide players with one of the best Talismans in the game upon defeat.
Tips on beating Cleanrot Knights
One of the most important things to keep in mind during this fight is the Scarlet Rot. There are large areas of Scarlet Rot within the boss arena, and some of the boss' attacks can inflict Scarlet Rot on the player, as well. If the player's Scarlet Rot meter fills completely, they will take constant damage until death. Avoid the pools of Scarlet Rot at all costs, and watch out for the attacks that can inflict this.
To save lots of trouble, make sure that you are accompanied by a strong Spirit Ash summon. Since this boss battle features two enemies, it can be easy for players to get overwhelmed in the fight. Having a strong summon (like the Mimic Tear, Redmane Knight Ogha, or Black Knife Tiche) can distract one of the enemies and allow players to focus on the other without being bombarded by attacks.
Where are the Cleanrot Knights located?
The Cleanrot Knights are located in the region of Caelid in a dungeon-like location called the Abandoned Cave. This area lies to the east of the starting region of Limgrave. Caelid is a difficult area to traverse and is filled with high-level enemies, so it is a good idea for players to tool themselves up before attempting to defeat these bosses.

What do you get for defeating the Cleanrot Knights?
Upon their defeat, the Cleanrot Knights will provide players with one of the best Talismans in the game. The Gold Scarab Talisman will increase the amount of Runes that players will gain when defeating an enemy. This Talisman is invaluable when players are farming Runes to level up.
