To get the worst ending in Elden Ring, you need to acquire the Frenzied Flame, which also unlocks an achievement/trophy. But in doing so, it locks you out of all other endings. If you happen to find the door leading to the Frenzied Flame without knowing it, you seem to be stuck with it, as there is no prompt or anything beforehand to decline. But once acquired, can you remove the Frenzied Flame?
How to remove the Frenzied Flame in Elden Ring
Yes, you can remove the Frenzied Flame, but it is a long and arduous journey to undertake. You must complete an NPC questline, as well as fight one of the game's most challenging bosses. Here is a quick summary of what you need to do:
- Complete Millicent's questline.
- Loot the Unalloyed Gold Needle.
- Find the Secret Medallion to use on the Grand Lift Rold to unlock the secret area of Haligree.
- Defeat Malenia in Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree.
- Use Unalloyed Gold Needle on Scarlet Rot Flower in Malenia's boss room to turn it into Miquella's Needle.
- Burn the Erdtree.
- Find Dragonlord Placidusax's arena in Crumbling Farum Azula.
- Kill Dragonlord Placidusax.
- Use Miquella's Needle in Dragonlord Placidusax's arena.
- The Frenzied Flame is no more, but the burns still remain.

We've heard different accounts on whether Dragonlord Placidusax has to be alive or not. We tested it out when the boss was dead, and it worked perfectly for us.
The list above can more or less be accomplished in any order. The Erdtree can be burned down, with Dragonlord Placidusax defeated. Then, you can complete Millicent's questline, kill Malania, or kill Malenia, then complete Millicent's questline. It doesn't matter what is executed first, as long as it's completed.
Once the Frenzied Flame is gone, the Three Fingers is no more, so you cannot acquire it again. This means you cannot unlock the Lord of Frenzied Flame ending for the achievement/trophy.
