Follow your nose... er I mean radar.

One of the first things you should do is get your hands on the Treasure Radar in Eastward. You can get this item early on. Simply head to Johnny's Emporium in the northeast corner of the opening area beside the milkman.

You will have to buy this item, but it will more than make up for its cost. The Treasure Radar will lead you to treasure chests, some of which are hidden and hard to find. The Treasure Radar will begin beeping when you are near treasure. The closer you get, the faster it will beep.

In the top right corner of the screen, there is what appears to be a signal bar. This will turn white when you are near treasure as well. It will flash with increasing frequency the closer you get. Follow the beeping and flashing until you find the treasure.

Some treasure chests can be found in the open, but others are hidden. They can be in secret paths or behind walls. Without the Treasure Radar, you may miss these treasure chests and their valuable contents. A lot of treasure chests contain salt, the primary currency of Eastward, so you will easily make more than what you spent on the Treasure Radar.
