Dying Light 2 has various ways to impact the open world and its characters. Those looking to improve how the game's world accommodates Aiden in his war against the infected should ally with the game's factions by altering City Alignment. Here's how you do just that.
Players change City Alignment in Dying Light 2 by giving facilities in each zone to one of the game's two main factions: the Peacekeepers and the Survivors. Facilities like Windmills, Power Plants, the Water Tower, and the Electrical Plant are all up for assignment in Dying Light 2. Both of the game's factions have unique rewards that they give to players in exchange for power in Villedor's regions.

Peacekeeper upgrades fit their zones with offensive options for players like Car Bombs, Pendulum Traps, and stationary miniguns, whereas Survivors outfit their territory with traversal options for Aiden. Jump Pads, Ziplines, and improved Air Vents are some of the options players can unlock when giving control of an area to the Survivor faction.
It's important to note that these upgrades are only applicable in the zones where the respective faction is in control, meaning any Peacekeeper or Survivor items won't' function in a zone their opposing faction controls.
