What do shrines and wells do in Diablo 2: Resurrected?

Throughout Diablo 2's varied maps and dungeons, players can often come across strange shrines. These shrines provide players with certain buffs depending on the shrine that can either increase their speed, boost their XP gain, or refill their health, and more.

Shrines can be very useful if players need a boost for boss fights or when low on either mana or health. Because of that, we also recommend using shrines when fighting bosses to help give yourself an extra advantage over them.

What do wells do in Diablo 2: Resurrected?

Like shrines, wells serve a similar purpose, which is primarily to refill your total mana. However, unlike shrines, it may not be clear to the player that this is their intended purpose. The reason why is that wells are just called wells and don't have their usage in their name like shrines.

So if you see a well and use a lot of mana, we recommend keeping it in mind for when you get low. Remember the location and if you run out, make a quick trip to it so that you can fully refill and get back into the fray faster than if you were to use a potion.
