Blizzard has given Sanctuary a makeover, a new villain, and Diablo fans; myself included, a reason to jump back into the action-RPG genre. I'm talking about Diablo 4. With Diablo 4 officially released, my friends and I planned our builds and how we would stop Lilith and the forces of Hell. However, one question that came up was whether or not Diablo 4 had a demo and whether we could play it for free.
Does Diablo IV have a demo?
There is no demo for Diablo 4, so you cannot try it before you buy it this way. Blizzard held several betas where players could play the game, but there is no official demo in Diablo 4 outside of this. Diablo 3 received a demo post-launch, but this occurred well after the game was released. There is no guarantee this will happen for Diablo 4. That said, there is a way to play Diablo 4 for free.

Can you play Diablo IV for free?
While there is no Diablo 4 demo, there is a way you can play the game for free. This is through game sharing. While this wasn't available during the early access period, many players received a can't use this content error code; this seems to have been lifted after the full release. However, this error may still occur.
With game share, only one player needs to purchase Diablo 4. Once they have purchased it, that player can then use game share to give another player access to Diablo 4. The process differs whether you play on Xbox, PC, or PlayStation, but ultimately can let you play Diablo 4 for free.
