Season of the Wish is the final Season in Destiny 2 before the release of The Final Shape. That means that players only have a few more opportunities to earn Valus Forge's respect and gear. Below is the known schedule and the loot that can be farmed.
Iron Banner was one of the most prominent PvP modes in Destiny 2. Light Levels made a difference and time invested was rewarded, but that's been done away with, and Iron Banner now serves as yet another grind for players to distract themselves from the barren core playlists.
When is Iron Banner in Destiny 2?
Iron Banner is being heavily frontloaded in Season of the Wish. With three confirmed weeks over December and January, there's plenty of time to grind for the new Biochrome Oasis Shader, Tributary Emblem, and the two weapons.
Iron Banner Schedule for Season of the Wish
Right now, there are three planned occurrences of Iron Banner in Season of the Wish. However, with the Season being extended, I wouldn't be shocked if Bungie added another week or two for Iron Banner by the time The Final Shape rolls around.

Iron Banner Weapons in Season of the Wish
At the time of this writing, only two weapons have been revealed for Iron Banner in Season of the Wish. Lethal Abundance isn't exciting me with its perk pool whereas Riiswalker is a returning favorite and will likely see a lot of repeat customers.
