Destiny 2 players are reportedly losing Seals and Triumphs after the latest update

It's Patch Tuesday for Bungie's sci-fi looter shooter, Destiny 2. Guardians eager to see what happens to everyone's favorite Warmind turned Exo, Rasputin, are being hit by a disastrous bug that is erasing Seals, Triumphs, and Triumph progress from their account.

Destiny 2 update is resetting Triumph progress

The news was initially reported by Destiny Bulletin before being confirmed by the Bungie Help Twitter account. Reports are coming in from across the internet with Reddit threads, Twitter replies, and clan Discord servers blowing up with players hit. So, for right now, the best option is to not log in until the issue is confirmed as being resolved.

This comes weeks after the rumors that players' guardians were being deleted by an update. While this was eventually debunked by Bungie, faith in the developer is about as shaky as the game is right now. The real question is how Bungie will resolve the issue. It will be interesting to see if it is something easily resolved with another hotfix or if it will require a rollback.

For the time being, again, do not log into Destiny 2 until a fix has been released. The thought of losing months and years' worth of hard work is gut-wrenching. So, it's best to err on the side of caution and let Bungie get this resolved before logging back in.
