Sometimes, you don't want to test your skills with a new Killer against a team of Survivors in your current bracket. Odds are you don't know all the tricks that make a killer like The Knight really slay. So, what's an aspiring Killer to do? Developer Behaviour Interactive has your back. With the Forged in Fog update, bots have been added. Here's how to configure them.
Does Dead by Daylight have bots?
Forged in Fog launched on November 22, 2022, and allowed players to create custom matches as the Killer with bots taking the role of Survivors. While players aren't able to earn progress in custom matches, the skills and experience they acquire more than makeup for it. It's a lot more rewarding to learn against the bots with a new Killer than it is to go up against a team of SWF that rush the generators.
What are bots in Dead by Daylight and what do they do?
Bot and match configurations are a little limited, but they get the job done. Players can pick their map, perks, and how many bots they want to go against with a cap of four. The bots behave similarly enough to real players and will do the annoying behaviors of dropping pallets on you, healing one another, and using items against you. It's great practice for getting the feel of a new Killer or testing a new loadout before going public.
