Perhaps you reinstalled Dark Souls 3 and want to restore your save so you can continue your gameplay, or maybe you just want to back up your save files for safekeeping. Here's where to find your save file location.
How to find Dark Souls 3 save?
Fortunately, you can find your Dark Souls 3 save file in your AppData folder. You can access it by going into the following directory:
- C:\Users\yourpc\AppData\Roaming
Here, you will find a folder named DarkSoulsIII, with a subfolder inside it named as a long string of numbers. This folder and its contents are your Dark Souls 3 save file.

I also suggest you find the AppData folder using the Run method:
- Open the start menu
- Search for Run
- Type in %appdata%
- Press Enter
- Find Dark Souls 3, and you're there.
This way, you can easily replace your save file whenever you need to. You can also start a new game by deleting your save file from this folder and launching a game from the beginning. Just make sure to keep your save file in a secure location.
I would even upload all of your important save files to the drive. This way, even if you lose access to your PC files, you can still safely download them at any time.
