There are many unlocks and upgrades to earn in Cult of the Lamb. This includes weapons, followers, curses, and your Fleece. This last item works as your armor and allows you to change your Lamb's cloak. This may leave you wondering what the best Fleece in Cult of the Lamb is.

Best Fleece in Cult of the Lamb

Each Fleece, other than the starting one, has a bonus and a drawback. For this reason, it can sometimes be better to use the starting Fleece as it provides no bonus or negative trait. Overall, the best Fleece depends on your playstyle, but we recommend the Fleece of the Fates, Fleece of Fragile Fortitude, or the starting Fleece.

The Fleece of the Fates gives you four tarot cards right off the bat, which allows you to steamroll through early areas. You typically won't get more than four tarot cards anyway, so the drawback isn't that bad. The Fleece of Fragile Fortitude will give you more hearts, allowing you to live longer. However, you do need to play more carefully as you cannot regain normal health.

All Fleece Upgrades in Cult of the Lamb

• Golden Fleece: Damage dealt increases after each kill, but resets when hit. Take double damage.
• Fleece of the Glass Cannon: Curses deal double damage and cost half the Fervor, but melee weapon damage and health are halved.
• Fleece of the Diseased Heart: Get a diseased heart every time a tarot card is drawn, but 100% of items will be lost if killed (Maximum of one diseased heart at a time).
• Fleece of the Fates: Draw four tarot cards at the start of a run, but none can be drawn after.
• Fleece of Fragile Fortitude: All hearts will be replaced by 1.5x the amount of blue hearts.

How to upgrade your Fleece in Cult of the Lamb

You can upgrade your Fleece at the Temple, under the Crown tab, in Cult of the Lamb. You will first need to gather four pieces of Holy Talisman, as this is the cost to upgrade your Fleece. This is a hard to find resource, so think long and hard before selecting a Fleece upgrade.

There are several ways to get Holy Talisman Pieces in Cult of the Lamb. Typically, you gain them by completing quests or purchasing them from NPCs. This includes Midas, the Fisherman, and more. Each will make a request for an item or resource and will give you a fragment in return.
