Coromon is a monster-taming RPG heavily inspired by Pokémon and brings its own features. But any Pokémon fan looking for a challenge knows that the way to do that is with a Nuzlocke run. This may leave you wondering if Coromon has a Nuzlocke mode.
The answer is yes and no. There is no official Nuzlocke mode, or at least it is not called that, but you can create one in-game. Coromon allows you to customize your difficulty and change various options to decide how you want to play. These options allow you to create a Nuzlocke mode.
What is Nuzlocke mode in Coromon?
Nuzlocke's origin is from a Pokémon fan's self-imposed challenge, and a subsequent comic created based on it. It uses a series of rules to create a more challenging and emotional Pokémon experience. These are the following rules from the Pokémon Nuzlocke that you should use in Coromon.
- Release a Coromon if it faints.
- You have to catch the first Coromon in each area and nothing else. If you fail to catch that first Coromon, you still cannot catch anything else within that area.
- All Coromon must be given a nickname.
- You cannot reset your game when something goes wrong. All choices and consequences are final.
You can turn on these rules by speaking to the computer at the train station. You will need to select the custom difficulty. This allows you to turn on various rules, including those above and more. Here you can create your custom challenge and even a Nuzlocke mode.
