What is Bloom in Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific?

Keep missing your targets? Here's why.

Call of Duty: Vanguard incorporates a gunplay mechanic that didn't exist in the franchise before; It's called Bloom, or Aim-Down-Sight (ADS) Spread. Bloom adds randomness to your shots that deviates the bullets from their intended path. This means that you'll miss some shots even if you are 100 percent accurate.

Subsequently with the Vanguard integration, Bloom has made its way into Warzone Pacific. Although Bloom can be negated by using accuracy-improving attachments, players now have to compromise other weapon stats (like mobility and control) for it.

This makes Vanguard weapons far less potent when compared to their Black Ops or Modern Warfare counterparts. However, Warzone Pacific developer Raven Software has addressed this issue and mentioned in their blog that they will be removing Bloom entirely from the game.

They further elaborated, "This process will take time, as we will need to determine adequate downsides to counterbalance the removal of Bloom, which will vary based on each individual weapon and the type of attachment they are attributed to."

Bloom varies for different weapon categories and is most dominant in Submachine Guns. Until this feature is present in Warzone, prefer accuracy-boosting attachments over any other to improve the efficiency of your weapons.
