With the Season 1 update, Modern Warfare 3 received new weekly challenges for Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone. The current season will have feature missions for eight weeks until the next big update.
You can complete the challenges to unlock unique rewards for your weapons including aftermarket parts and camo, and you can also earn some XP. Below I've listed the current weekly challenges available in MW3.
Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 Weekly Challenges: Week 1
- Multiplayer
- Get 40 operator kills
- Get 30 operator kills while aiming down sights with the MCW (Assault Rifle)
- Get 20 operator headshot kills with Marksman Rifles or Battle Rifles
- Get 20 operator kills with sights equipped to a Battle Rifle
- Get 7 operator kills while in midair
- Get 5 operator longshot kills with Marksman Rifles
- Get 3 operator kills without dying 3 times with Marksman Rifles
- Zombies
- Get 750 kills
- Get 300 kills while aiming down sights with the MCW
- Drink 10 Perk-a-Cola Cans
- Get 300 scoped kills
- Get 300 kills with a Pack-a-Punched weapon
- Get 200 kills with Marksman Rifles
- Get 30 Mercenary kills with Marksman Rifles
- Warzone
- Get 10 operator kills in the north-west region (Levin Resort, Popov Power, Seaport District, and Urzikstan Cargo)
- Get 10 operator kills in the eastern region (Orlov Military Base and Hadiqa Farms)
- Get 10 operator kills in the southern region (Zaravan City, Zaravan Suburbs, and Shahin Manor)
- Get 10 operator kills in the central region (Old Town and Low Town)
- Complete 15 contracts
- Open 50 chests or containers that grant loot

Note: These challenges must be completed using a Recommended Weapon. These weapons are highlighted in your custom loadout creation menu and as of now include all the new MW3 guns.
To unlock the JAK Headhunter Carbine Conversion Kit for the Rival 9 Submachine Gun, complete any five challenges from Week 1 for Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone. This aftermarket part converts the SMG into a three-round burst fire weapon ideal for close to mid-range combat.
Modern Warfare 3 Season 1 Weekly Challenge Final Reward
After you unlock all the weekly rewards, such as the JAK Headhunter Carbine Conversion Kit, by completing five challenges from each week, you'll get the Coherence camo. To be honest, I think the final reward could've been a better-looking, probably something animated like the Golden River camo from pre-season (second image).
