In Call of Duty DMZ, you can find various unique items by searching around the maps and completing different contracts. Nuclear Fuel Rods are exceptionally rare items that can be obtained by completing Secure Nuclear Materials contracts in the game. You will need to find several Nuclear Fuel Rods to complete some of the operator Upgrades. Naturally, you must know where to find Nuclear Materials and how to extract them. Here's how to get Nuclear Fuel Rods in DMZ.
Nuclear Fuel Rods exact location in DMZ
Nuclear Fuel Rods can be easily obtained by completing Secure Nuclear Material contracts across Al Mazrah, Ashika Island, and Vondel in Call of Duty DMZ. These contracts require players to search hidden caches to find radioactive materials and other items. You can find up to four Nuclear Fuel Rods from each Secure Materials contract in the game.
Secure Nuclear Material contracts spawn randomly across the map, and it's ideal to take up this mission in a remote area without enemy operators.
You can start a Secure Nuclear Materials contract by picking up the corresponding contract phone. Check the map image above to see how a Secure Nuclear Material contract phone looks in the game. You will notice it has a circular radioactive symbol, and these contracts can be found on Al Mazrah, Ashika Island, and the Vondel map. Once the mission starts, you need to get a Geiger Counter. This equipment allows you to scan an area to find hidden radioactive materials.
You must find open two hidden caches for each Secure Nuclear Materials contract. These are usually hidden in tricky spots, so follow the readings on your Geiger Counter. The reading will spike beyond 9.0 when you are close to a radioactive container. Open the hidden cache to collect the Nuclear Fuel Rods. Since you already have the Geiger Counter, head for another Secure Nuclear Materials contract nearby to collect more Fuel Rods. You can repeat this process to get all the Nuclear Fuel Materials required to complete the Upgrades.
Where to find Nuclear Fuel Rods in DMZ
Nuclear Fuel Rods can be found inside radioactive containers on the Al Mazrah, Ashika Island, and Vondel maps. Likewise, you can also find them on the Koschei Complex map while exploring areas like the Chemical Plant, Information Exchange, External Ops, Factory, and Barracks. After finding this item, head for an extraction point, as you wouldn't want enemy operators to steal this. Remember, you will need around 10-20 Nuclear Fuel Rods to complete most of the operator Upgrades in DMZ.
