One major aspect of survival games is hunger. This is true of Breakwaters, Soaring Pixels Games' action-adventure game. Players have a hunger meter as well as a thirst meter. Survival games handle hunger in different fashions and players may be wondering if eating food instantly recovers hunger or restores it over time.

The answer is that it instantly recovers food. Upon eating a food item, the player's hunger meter will instantly recover based upon the type of food eaten. This can be found in the lower-left hand corner of the screen. It is the orange circle that has the meat with the bone on it.

A food item will tell you how much hunger it restores in your inventory by hovering over the item. You can also see the bar refill as you eat. Keeping this bar full is crucial to your survival. With the bar instantly refilling as you eat, you do not have to wait for your hunger to refill.

To eat food, you can simply press the number key for the slot the food is in. The same food can be stacked. Eating food is very fast so you can rapidly press the button and quickly refill your hunger bar in seconds.
