Games are big investments of your time. But Bayonetta 3’s chaotic gameplay, exquisite character designs, and unique storyline are hard to pass up. So, just how long would you need to see the end of this Umbra Witch’s third tale?
How long is Bayonetta 3?
Bayonetta 3’s main story is roughly 10 to 12 hours long. It has 14 chapters. You could play the game for around 15 hours if you complete side missions. New players of Bayonetta could take a little longer since they’ll need to familiarize themselves with the game’s controls.
This number easily doubles if you’re looking to 100% Bayonetta 3. A ton of collectibles are missable on your first go, certain challenges are difficult, and the newly-added Infinite Climax difficulty can make enemies much longer to kill.
For reference, the previous games only needed around 10 hours to complete a Standard run once.
But just because Bayonetta 3 is shorter than most games today doesn’t mean that it’s any less fun. With endless combos, flashy skills, and fast-paced gameplay, Bayonetta 3 will not disappoint. One run might not be enough for you to explore this game’s combat potential fully. There’s a lot of replay value.

Should I get Bayonetta 3?
The story isn’t very deep but Bayonetta 3’s gameplay is insanely fun. There are so many ways to beat up your enemies—and look fantastic while you’re at it. The cutscenes are also well-directed and the music just syncs very well with what’s going on screen.
If you’re huge fans of games like Devil May Cry, any game from the Bayonetta series is a must-try.
