While Lae'zel is certainly not one of my favorite characters when I first met her, she grew on me, particularly because of her usefulness in combat—with Action Surge, she can deal out additional attacks and deal even more damage. That said, you can further expand Lae'zel's usefulness in combat by choosing the best feats for her.
Lae'zel Best Feats in BG3
Lae'zel is a Fighter, meaning she hits hard and usually carries a big weapon. As such, taking feats that make her more deadly in combat is essential. Here are the best feats for Lae'zel in Baldur's Gate 3.
Feat | Description |
Ability Score Improvement | Increase one Ability by 2, or two Abilities by 1, to a maximum of 20. |
Tavern Brawler | When you make an unarmed attack, use an improvised weapon, or throw something, your Strength modifier is added twice to the damage and attack rolls. |
Lucky | You gain 3 Luck Points, which can be used to gain advantage on an attack roll, ability check, or saving throw, or to make an enemy reroll their attack roll. |
Tough | Increase your maximum hit points by two for each level you gain. |
Savage Attacker | Roll your damage die twice when attacking and take the higher result. |
Great Weapon Master | When you land a critical hit or kill a target with a melee weapon attack, you can make another melee weapon attack as a bonus action that turn. Attacks with melee weapons you are proficient with, can deal an additional 10 damage at the cost of a -5 attack roll penalty. |
Athlete | Increase Strength or Dexterity increases by 1, to a maximum of 20. Standing up from prone uses less movement and your jump distance increases by 50%. |
Lae'zel's best feats are those that make her more efficient in combat. Strength is her primary stat, so taking feats that increase this or allow her to deal more damage are the top choices. Here is what I recommend when picking feats for Lae'zel.

Ability Score Improvement is a must for getting Lae'zel's Strength to 20, though you can always accomplish this with items and other feats. Athlete is one of these, and it also doubles Lae'zel's jump, allowing her to easily get around the battlefield.
Tavern Brawler is a good choice if you are using a throwing build, as it lets you add your strength modifier to the attack again. Savage Attacker performs a similar role but lets you roll your damage die twice and take the higher result. Both of these feats are helpful for increasing your damage output.
Great Weapon Master is perfect for those using a heavy two-handed weapon. Using GWM feat lets you take a -5 to hit, but allows your attack to deal an additional guaranteed ten points of damage. I recommend finding ways like Faerie Fire or knocking foes prone to get advantage to increase your odds of hitting.
Tough is a great feat to get more hit points for Lae'zel, as it grants an additional two hit points with each level. Finally, Lucky is one of the best feats. With Lucky, you have three Luck Points you can use to gain advantage on an ability or force an enemy to reroll their attack.
