How to pass time in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora

Careful, campfires damage you.

Avatar Frontiers of Pandora has a full day and night cycle, and based on my almost 24 hours of playthrough, it's a long in-game cycle. In this guide, I'll show you how you can pass the time quickly.

How to change day to night in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora

Quickly passing time was never mentioned at any point in the opening sequence nor in the latter missions in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora. However, there is a way to pass the time in the game. Simply walk up to a bonfire (Resting Spot) and interact with it on a Na'Vi camp or at the cave near the Resistance Headquarters, and you will instantly fast forward by a few in-game hours.

Currently, we do not know the exact hours there are in a day in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora, but upon testing, it usually takes around 20-30 minutes for a full day-night cycle and around 2-3 usage of the Resting Spot to turn day into night.

Why you should pass time in Avatar Frontiers of Pandora?

Waiting for nightfall or naturally just passing time has a lot of perks in Frontiers of Pandora. Here are some of the benefits you'll get by passing time:

  • Some plants benefit from an increased chance of rare harvests during nighttime or rainfall.
  • Some animals sleep during nighttime, allowing you to get easier "clean and merciful kills."
  • A few RDA enemies will sleep during nighttime, enabling an easier stealth approach while infiltrating their base.

Passing time may be counterintuitive for people who want to play a truly immersive experience. However, it still offers many benefits, which players can utilize to their advantage by gathering rarer materials or even taking down tough RDA bases.
