Atomic Heart features a mix of open-world segments and more focused interior levels. The open-world portion of the game can leave you feeling that the movement speed is fairly slow, making it take some time to get across the map. This may leave you wondering if Atomic Heart has a fast travel system.
Can you fast travel in Atomic Heart?
The answer is no—despite its open world, Atomic Heart has no fast travel system. If you want to get somewhere in its expansive world, you must manually travel there. As such, you should plan to come across various enemies when traveling from point A to point B.

However, you can find vehicles and increase travel speed in Atomic Heart. This improves your travel speed greatly as you do not have to walk everywhere. This is especially true when you consider that there is no sprint button, though you can upgrade your run speed.
But there is a downside to traveling by vehicle. You become much more easily noticed by the robots of Atomic Heart. Additionally, roads are often littered with obstacles and can force roundabout paths to locations. Cars are also not very durable, so they will get destroyed quickly.
