The year is 1955 in an alternate history USSR. You play as Agent P-3 in a fight against killer robots in Atomic Heart. You've just completed the intro and have taken down no shortage of deranged machines. However, you now face your most difficult foe: dropping down safely from a ledge.
Can you drop down while hanging in Atomic Heart?
While there is thankfully little platforming and parkour in Atomic Heart, there will be times when P-3 is hanging from a ledge and needs to drop down. Rather than simply being able to drop from a ledge with the press of a button, Atomic Heart opts for more hassle than is needed. Players will need to turn completely to one side or another so that P-3's arm is hanging to then jump down.

Confusing design choices like these are all over the place in Atomic Heart. Binding the weapon wheel to the reload button and not having a quick swap is another choice that left us scratching our heads. While we're on the topic of questionable design choices, why is it so hard to throw objects? Whether you like the title or not due to its quirks, there's no denying there's something different about this title. It simply comes down to which side of the ledge you manage to make P-3 drop from.
