How does the Alarm System work in Atomic Heart?

The HAWK system is a security network in Atomic Heart that connects Dandelion Cameras and other robots together, making navigating through public a difficult task. Dandelion Cameras can trigger two levels of alarms. The first level triggers when you are spotted by a Dandelion Camera, which will signal other robots in the area to converge on your location. The second level is triggered when the Dandelion Camera spots you attacking another enemy, causing more enemies to spawn, including Pchelas, the small hovering robots that will repair fallen enemies.

How to disable or destroy Dandelion Cameras in Atomic Heart

There are a couple of ways to disable or destroy Dandelion Cameras. You can disable them by using your Shok ability, or completely destroy them with guns or melee. Dandelion Cameras are often found on top of telephone polls, attached to walls in rooms, or even attached to Pchelas.

Using your Shok ability will temporarily disable the Dandelion Camera so you can pass by undetected. Alternatively, you can use your telekinetic glove ability to lift and throw an object nearby to distract the camera.

You can destroy Dandelion Cameras with a few gunshots or a couple of melee swings. Attacking with melee can be pretty risky since the camera may trigger the alarm before you destroy it. If you are low on ammo, a good strategy is to Shok it, then destroy it with melee attacks.
