When is Scorched Earth releasing for ARK: Survival Ascended?
There is no exact release date, but an ARK: Survival Ascended roadmap lists the ARK: Scorched Earth DLC releasing in Q4 of 2023. However, this roadmap is outdated, as it lists the initial release date for ARK: Survival Ascended as August 2023, when the game actually launched on October 25, 2023. Scorched Earth may face a similar delay, being anywhere from two months or longer, or remain the same.
ARK: Survival Ascended is scheduled to release on consoles in November 2023, and I imagine this will occur before DLC is pushed out. If this is true, fans will need to wait until after November 2023 to play the Scorched Earth DLC. Still, no information is truly known, and I am merely speculating on the release schedule.
What is ARK: Survival Ascended Scorched Earth?
Scorched Earth is a DLC originally released for ARK: Survival Evolved and coming to ARK: Survival Ascended. It adds a new desert map (often considered among the best ARK maps), new creatures, resources, items, structures, and more. Scorched Earth will greatly expand upon the content in ARK: Survival Ascended, just as it did in ARK: Survival Evolved.
Will Scorched Earth be free in ARK: Survival Ascended?
Scorched Earth initially launched as a paid DLC for ARK: Survival Ascended, but Studio Wildcard plans to release previous DLCs for free to everyone who owns ARK: Survival Ascended. The Steam store page states, "subsequent expansion worlds to be added at no additional cost on a regular basis."
