Being a combat-based survival game, Ark Survival Ascended can be a gory experience, and it is better to turn off the Blood mode if you are playing with your children in the co-op mode.
While it is easy to say, I spent nearly 20 minutes finding the Blood mode toggle button, as the feature was available under a section of the settings menu that very few people care to browse.
How to toggle Blood Mode in Ark Survival Ascended
To turn off Blood in Ark Survival Ascended, follow the given steps.
- Open Ark Survival Ascended and reach the main menu.
- Press the Settings option and hover over to the Advanced section.
- Navigate to the third menu panel to find the Blood Visuals option at the top of the list.
- By default, it will be off. So, toggle the button to turn it off.

Why turn off Blood in Ark Survival Ascended?
There may be many reasons why anyone would want to turn off blood. First and foremost, it's better to turn off the Blood mode on a server if you are playing with your children or don't enjoy seeing gorey visuals. Also, if facing performance issues, especially with FPS drops with Ark Survival Ascended, it's better to turn off such unnecessary settings as you may gain 3 to 5 FPS during intense battle scenarios.
