Top Mods for ARK Survival Ascended
One of the newest official additions to ASA is the CurseForge integration, an in-game mod browser that makes installing new mods for ASA easier than ever. My favorite mods focus on keeping the core experience intact, while spicing up the aimlessness feel the game has normally.
- NoDurabilityArmor - This mod effectively removes the need to constantly repair your armor in the event that it breaks. With this mod installed, never again will you waste resources on such annoyance.
- Additions Ascended - This mod is actually several mods separated into many parts. Each part adds a brand-new dinosaur to ASA's arsenal. There are seven total versions of this mod available on the CurseForge mod browser, and I can't recommend them all enough.
- Meat Spoiler - Anyone who's played ARK for any decent amount of time knows how important Spoiled Meat is. Well, this mod reduces the amount of time for meat to spoil, as it implies with its title.

- Utilities Plus - Probably my favorite mod on this list because it does away with the tedium of having to recraft some important items, especially ones that really shouldn't degrade anyway (e.g. Grappling Hook, Bola, and Spear).
- Big Storage Box - ASA is so full of stuff that it gets exhausting building storage boxes to, well, store it all. Thankfully, this mod mostly does away with this issue, as it adds a hefty storage box that can carry a huge amount of items all at once.
- Death Inventory Keeper - Depending on how far you are in ASA, death can mean a complete restart because all your items are left where you died. This mod, however, allows you to keep all your items when do inevitably get eaten by a dinosaur.
There are many more mods available for download in ASA, but I've found this set to be the best the game has to offer. They solve the game's minor annoyances and don't majorly change the core game in such a way that the gameplay loop is ruined.
