Splatter Rounds Hop-Up gets major nerf in the Apex Legends Raiders Collection Event patch

Goodbye extra bullets.

If you’ve liked those extra bullets in your Rampart weapons, sorry, you’re out of luck. The Splatter Rounds Hop-Up was introduced to Apex Legends in the Evolution Collection Event and closely inspired by the Graffiti Mod Hop-Up from Season 5. The only major difference is that you can’t choose your paintball color.

If you want to shoot paint with your bullets, there is no standalone version, but it is built into all Rampart weapons bought at Big Maude, the Rampart Town Takeover on World’s Edge. Balance-wise, it remained untouched through the new season launch, but with the Raiders Collection Event, it is seeing its first nerf.

The nerf for the Splatter Rounds makes it differ from the Grafitti Mod even further. The Splatter Rounds Hop-Up no longer comes with a 15 percent extended magazine. Though players will no longer have those extra shots, the handling perk of a 25 percent faster reload time is still present in the Hop-Up.

This nerf will go live on Dec. 7, along with the Raiders Collection Event.
