It can be typical for Among Us to go down once in a while—especially when it boasts over two million active players every day. If that many people log in at the same time, servers get congested and the game goes down.
In fact, here are some common server error messages you can encounter when attempting to log in on both your PC and mobile:
- Could not send data as a SocketException occurred: Network is unreachable
- Forcibly disconnected because: ReliablePackWithoutResponse
- Sent pings that remote has not responded to
Of course, sometimes, Among Us goes down because of server maintenance. The only way to know for sure is to check the server status.

Before you check the server’s status, first see if it’s a problem with your network connection. Make sure your Wi-Fi is stable and restart the game. If the same error pops up, only then can you be sure that it’s a server issue.
If you want confirmation, go to Innersloth’s Twitter account and search for a related post. If the developers say that the game is on maintenance, you have no choice but to wait. Fortunately, once Innersloth has found the problem and are working on a solution, they can and will provide an estimated time on when Among Us will be back online. You just have to be patient!
