World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is an expansion pack for World of Warcraft, bringing a reworked leveling system as well as new raids and dungeons. There are also some great updates to classes in the new expansion.
Classes for Healers in Shadowlands — Ranked From Best to Least
One of the most popular types to play is Healer. Here are the healer types, ranked from most to least useful.
Discipline Priest
The Discipline Priest has the classic, yet effective advantage of dealing a lot damage per second (DPS) without ruining the integrity of its healing performance. This alone would make the Discipline Priest the best healer, but the class also carries an impeccable ability to dole out health whenever it is needed most.
Holy Paladin
While not currently a popular choice, many have not forgotten the power of the Holy Paladin, which spent many years in WoW being a staple for players. They are still great at specialized healing and their use of the Devotion Aura proves that the Holy Paladin is an underappreciated gem.
Restoration Shaman
While it may lack more generalized skills like seen in the Holy Paladin and the Discipline Priest, the Restoration Shaman does have a varied toolbelt of healing abilities. This may not be the strongest healer, but it will be loved by creative players.
Mistweaver Monk
The Mistweaver Monk had its fair share of problems while Shadowlands was just getting started, which has tainted its reputation considerably. Many of the stability and performance issues seen with the Mistweaver Monk in the past have subsided and while it is still not the best healer, it provides excellent support as a cleave healer.
Restoration Druid
The Restoration Druid doesn't perform the best in any one area of healing, making it an easy healer to overlook. This healer doesn't promise a stellar performance, as it is rather middling, but this may be a good choice for players who do not yet feel ready to commit to certain play style, since it gives a lot of variety.
Holy Priest
There is nothing specifically wrong with the Holy Priest in Shadowlands. It has decent DPS, decent healing abilities with middling cooldowns. The biggest con to choosing the Holy Priest is that just about anything it can do, the Discipline Priest can do better.
