OD is an upcoming horror narrative game created by Hideo Kojima in collaboration with Jordan Peele, creator of horror movies Get Out, Us, and Nope. The game was first announced at The Game Awards 2023 with a short teaser trailer.
Everything we know about OD so far
Like classic Kojima, the teaser trailer does not reveal much about the game. However, the trailer shows different characters in an interview-like format, reciting lines as they slowly twist into anguish. Each character has a pattern of lights reflecting off their eyes until the last one, which has a reflection of something approaching before she screams.
During The Game Awards 2023, Kojima and Peele explain how OD will approach the horror genre in an exciting way. Kojima states that it will be a game, but also like a movie, and something entirely new as the game aims to maximize immersion with a terrifying atmosphere.
