Gold bars can be collected just like every other currency, and that's because they're just 1 million coins compiled together. When you reach a million coins, they will transform into one gold bar. Potions will help out a lot when it comes to boosting your abilities. Coins Potions, in particular, will speed up that coin-collecting process, allowing you to earn 20-40% more per stack you break, depending on the potion's rarity. They will only last for a limited time, so take advantage!
Another great way to speed up the process is to equip the right Enchantments. The Treasure Hunter enchantments will increase the number of drops you get from each breakable, allowing you to collect more coins each time and save up some gold bars in no time.
Earn as many coins as you can to start upgrading them to gold bars, and progressing through those more expensive areas. Utilize all your items as much as possible and you'll get there in no time.
