In short, to make wine in Stardew Valley, you will need an item called a keg; along with this, you will need to have reached farming level eight. Upon reaching this level, you will unlock the recipe to craft a keg, and you can then craft one with the following materials listed below.

  • 30 Wood
  • 1 Copper Bar
  • 1 Iron Bar
  • 1 Oak Resin

Once crafted, you can then start making wine with any fruit in the game; to make wine with the keg, interact with it while holding a fruit. Place a fruit inside the keg, and you will then need to wait around six in-game days for it to craft.

When six days have passed, your wine will be fully crafted; however, you will need to age it if you want to make the most out of it. In short, aging wine will increase your wine's value as the rarity goes up with the number of days that passed.

That said, to age wine, you will need to craft a cask when you make the final upgrade on the farmhouse; after that, you can craft a cask with 20 wood and one hardwood. Once you get a cask crafted, check the list below for how long you need to wait to get all three wine rarities and their price modifiers.

  • Sliver: 14 days (x 1.25 base value)
  • Gold: 28 days (x 1.5 base value)
  • Iridium: 56 days (x 2 base value)

After aging the wine for the required amount of days, you can then sell it in the dropbox times the base value of 400g and 560g if you have the Artisan Profession. As a side note, the price of wine varies between the fruit so some prices may vary; for example, you can get around 4k for the best Iridium quality ancient fruit wine.
