We've collected several Royal Tools at the start of our Disney Dreamlight Valley adventure and put them to good use around the Valley for gardening, fishing, mining, and so much more.
With the new expansion, A Rift in Time, we will get tons of new content, including a brand new Royal Tool, the Royal Hourglass. Take a look at everything we know about it so far below!
Disney Dreamlight Valley Royal Hourglass trailer
The Royal Tools are the bread and butter of Disney Dreamlight Valley, and without them, we wouldn't be able to get much done around our Valleys. Although we have a good selection of them already, it will be very exciting to see something new added to the collection, and the Royal Hourglass will be just that.
The Royal Hourglass will be included in the A Rift in Time expansion on December 5, 2023. The trailer shows that it will share the same theme as the rest of the tools and be customized accordingly with any tool skins you are using. It is a lot larger than the rest of the tool, appearing almost like a staff with an hourglass installed in the center of it, rotating around.

According to the DisneyDLV team on Twitter, this staff will be used to 'hunt for treasure' and 'fix time rifts.' With the overall theme being rifts and time manipulation, we can assume this fancy tool will fix all those anomalies, such as revealing hidden objects stuck in time, like these brand-new-looking chests shown in the trailer.
Although we don't know much more about the Royal Hourglass, we can probably assume you will unlock it through the expansion story, much like how we collected the other Royal Tools. However, stay tuned for more details as the release approaches.
