Charlotte is a four-star Cryo catalyst user who functions as an off-field healer, Cryo applicator, and Cryo sub-DPS. With a stacked kit, fun animations, and interesting gameplay mechanics, she offers a ton of utility, which is rare for characters of her Element.
If you managed to pull for Genshin Impact's dedicated photojournalist, here's everything you need to know about how to build her.
Best weapons for Charlotte in Genshin Impact
While all of Charlotte's skills scale off Attack, you can choose to build her as a support unit with more Energy Recharge (for triggering heals via her Burst) or a sub-DPS unit with more Attack and Crit.
While I prefer to use Charlotte as a full-on support, I wouldn't say that picking a support weapon is 100% necessary. If you can get her ER high enough to use her Burst often through Artifacts, then you can opt for a damage-boosting weapon instead.
Support Weapons
- Oathsworn Eye
- Favonius Codex (requires a high Crit Rate)
- Prototype Amber
Sub-DPS Weapons
- Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds
- Skyward Atlas
- Tome of the Eternal Flow
- Cashflow Supervision
- The Widsith (best four-star)
- Tulaytullah's Remembrance
- Kagura's Verity
- Flowing Purity
Best Artifacts for Charlotte in Genshin Impact
When built as a support, Charlotte will need an extremely high amount of ER (up to 250% when solo Cryo at C1) to be able to use her Burst for heals at regular intervals. Meanwhile, when built as a sub-DPS, Charlotte performs decently with typical DPS stats.
- Sands: ER (support) or Attack (sub-DPS)
- Goblet: Attack (support) or Cryo Damage Bonus (sub-DPS)
- Circlet: Attack or Healing Bonus (support) or Crit Rate or Crit Damage (sub-DPS)
- Substats: ER and Attack for a support build (plus Crit Rate if using Favonius Codex), or Attack, Crit Rate, and Crit Damage for a sub-DPS build

Meanwhile, for Artifact sets, the options for Charlotte are quite complex and situational. Choose any of the sets below.
- Four-piece Tenacity of the Millelith (when supporting Attack-scaling units)
- Increases HP and offers a party-wide Attack and Shield Strength buff when her Elemental Skill hits opponents.
- Four-piece Noblesse Oblige (when supporting Attack-scaling units)
- Offers an Elemental Burst Damage increase and boosts the party's Attack when using her Burst.
- Only one character in the party should be using this set as the effect doesn't stack.
- Two-piece combos (support build)
- Emblem of Severed Fate
- Gladiator's Finale
- Echoes of an Offering
- Shimenawa's Reminiscence
- Four-piece Golden Troupe (best for sub-DPS build)
- Increases Elemental Skill Damage and further increases her damage output when off-field.
- Four-piece Blizzard Slayer (best for Freeze team)
- Offers a Cryo Damage bonus buff and increases Crit Rate when attacking Frozen enemies.

Best team for Charlotte in Genshin Impact
While Charlotte is a healer, she also provides Cryo application across all of her attacks, so she can mess up Reactions when paired with the incorrect team. She offers a lot of utility but isn't a universal character who can be slotted across all comps. Some of her recommended team comps include:
- Freeze team
- Pair Charlotte with a Hydro applicator and Anemo Swirl support. The final flex slot can include a second Hydro, Cryo, or Anemo character, or a shielder for interruption resistance.
- Options include Wriothesley, Neuvillette, Kaedehara Kazuha, Furina, Kamisato Ayaka, and more.
- Fridge team
- Pair Charlotte with a Dendro, Hydro, and Electro applicator.
- Options include Raiden Shogun, Alhaitham, Nahida, Kuki Shinobu, Xingqiu, Yelan, Kirara, and more.
- Furina plus HP manipulation characters
- Charlotte is a really good healer to pair with Furina in general as they can trigger Freeze (being Hydro and Cryo), and because Furina needs a team-wide healer to offset her party HP drain.
- When paired with characters who use weapons and Artifacts requiring HP manipulation, Furina is the top-of-mind support, and Charlotte likewise helps with healing.
- Shielder
- Charlotte has no interruption resistance while in her Elemental Skill's viewfinder mode, which can be a major inconvenience if you're using the hold version of the Skill. A shielder will prevent her from getting interrupted.
