Phantump and Trevenant have some of the coolest designs and, thus, are some of my favorite Ghost-type Pokémon. What is the Best Nature for Phantump and Trevenant in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?
When using Phantump and Trevenenant, one of the natures below is the best choice for this Grass and Ghost-type Pokémon in Scarlet and Violet:
- Adamant (+ Attack, - Sp. Attack)
- Jolly (+ Speed, - Sp. Attack)
Trevenant is a slow offensive Pokémon with decent bulk, so you'll want to focus on Attack and Speed. The Adamant nature is a good choice if you want more power behind its moves. On the other hand, Trevenant's Speed is fairly low, but it does sit among other hard-hitting Pokémon with slow Speeds.

I prefer the Jolly nature, as Trevenant can use the extra boost to Speed, especially if facing another Pokémon with similar Speed. Having the edge on Speed can let Trevenant go first and get off a crucial attack. But Trevenant's Speed is pretty low, so Adamant is a safe bet to guarantee stronger attacks.
How to pick the best nature in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet
A Pokémon's nature should reflect its stats and move set. Trevenant relies on hard-hitting moves with lots of power but lacks Speed. Its bulk leaves something to be desired, so increasing its Speed with the Jolly nature gives it a chance to act first.
