Baldur’s Gate 3 (BG3) Enemy of Justice, Explained

How to make friends with the justice again!

Enemy of Justice is a strange ailment I received after clearing out the Goblin camp section in Baldur's Gate 3. As a result, my party has become quite notorious, getting attacked by allied guards no matter which town I visited. While it got me curious how exactly I earned such an effect after killing just a couple of goblins in the camp, I wondered how to rid myself of it, because I couldn't find the cure anywhere. In this guide, we will take a closer look into the Enemy of Justice and explain what it is and how to get rid of it.

What is Enemy of Justice in BG3?

The Enemy of Justice is an in-game condition described as follows: “Wanted for killing a guard. Allied guards will attack on sight.” I can confirm I first received the effect after a long rest. Normally you would earn this effect when you murder an allied guard and have someone witness this misdeed, but in this case, a lot of players report getting this ailment while finishing the Goblin camp quest

How to Remove Enemy of Justice in BG3

The only way to remove the Enemy of Justice condition in BG3 is to take care of the witness that saw you commit murder in the first place. For me, it was Pandirna, a paralyzed Tiefling sitting down in the shed (X: 206 Y: 528). Slaying this particular witness may not work for you, as it depends on the game's determination of which exact NPC saw you commit the murder. Note this is a perfect opportunity to score some evil points if you want to break your Paladin oaths.

Some players report leaving Abdirak as a survivor and neglecting to finish him off during their time in the Goblin camp caused them to get the condition as well. You must carefully retrace your steps and leave no witnesses once the fighting starts. Otherwise, you will get the condition after a period of Long rest in a camp.
