Russian Gas DMZ Mission Guide

Russian Gas walkthrough!

Russian Gas is the final mission for the Tier 5 White Lotus faction in Call of Duty: Warzone DMZ. Completing this mission concludes one of the faction stories and rewards you with the Snowplow skin for the Kortac Group I operator. Here's a detailed guide on how to complete the Russian Gas mission.

Below are your objectives for the Russian Gas mission in DMZ:

  • Infil into the Koschei Complex with the Vondel Gas Sample.
  • Find the Koschei Complex Gas Sample in the south of the DRD.
  • Validate the chemical similarity between the Vondel Gas Sample and Koschei Complex Gas Sample at the machine in the External Ops.

How to get the Vondel Gas Sample

Before starting the Russian Gas mission, you need to acquire the Vondel Gas Sample from, of course, the Vondel map. You may remember finding this item in during the Chemist Sources mission from the previous tier. Therefore, I suggest checking your Mission Items stash to ensure you already don't have the Vondel Gas Sample.

If you don't have the Gas Sample, fret not, as I'll remind you how to get it. Deploy into Vondel and head to the Fire Dept. POI in the west section of the map. You'll find a maze south of the fire station building (see map for location). Enter the maze via the entrance shown in the second image and turn left at the end of the path. You'll find the Vondel Gas Sample next to the white lady statue.

Where to find the Koschei Complex Gas Sample in DRD

After extracting the Gas Sample out of Vondel, deploy it into Al Mazrah while carrying it in your backpack. Now, enter Koschei Complex via the Oasis entrance, the location of which I've marked on the map below. Make sure to acquire some Radiation Blockers from the nearby houses and hospitals before you enter, as they'll help you survive the radiation.

Through this entrance, you'll spawn into the Defense Research Division or DRD section of Koschei Complex. Now solve the puzzle by closing the radiation chamber doors and proceeding through the three sections. In the third and final section 01, take out the sentry turret and guards. Thereafter, open the first chamber door to your right (marked in the second image) using the valve. You'll find the Koschei Complex Gas Sample at the very end of this chamber.

Where to validate the chemical similarity between Gas Samples

Now that you have the Vondle Gas Sample and Koschei Gas Sample, it's time to validate them. Head out of the DRD section into the Chemical Plant and hug the wall on your right. After moving in said direction, you'll come across Bunker Door A/1, which gives you access to the External Ops section. Open the door by pressing the red button on the wall and enter the area.

Reach the intersection and walk right down the hallway to the very end until you find the machine shown above. In this corner, press the interact button when you get the prompt saying Validate Chemical Similarity. I've seen players complain about this mission being bugged, as they wouldn't get the validation prompt.

If this happens to you as well, I suggest you immediately exfil with the two Gas Samples. In the next match, deploy into the Koschei Complex via the Rohan Oil entrance, as it'll lead you directly to the External Ops sector. Then you validate the two samples on the same machine. This way, you'll complete the Russian Gas mission and unlock the Snowplow operator skin.
