Harry Potter fans that own PS4 and Xbox One systems will have to wait even longer than their counterparts who have already been playing Hogwarts Legacy. After originally being delayed until April 4, 2023, in a series of tweets this morning, Avalanche Software announced on the game's official Twitter account that the game would be further delayed until May 5, 2023.
Hogwarts Legacy delayed (again) for last-gen console users
The tweet acknowledged Hogwarts Legacy's global success and that many fans are still patiently waiting to play if they do not own a PS5, Xbox Series X|S, or a capable PC. However, the tweet also states that developers need more time to deliver the best possible experience on all consoles. Hogwarts Legacy has been highly praised for is its graphics and recreation of the titular castle and the surrounding area on an open-world scale. While further delays are frustrating, it comes as no surprise that extra work will need to be done to make the magical experience they have presented on current-gen consoles as comparable as possible.
