One of the innovations that came with the original Metroid Prime was the capability to do more unique puzzles in the 3D environment. A big example of this would be the puzzle involved with getting the X-Ray Visor, which is redone quite accurately in Metroid Prime Remastered. This will put player's puzzle solving skills to the test, as well as their combat skills.
Where can players find the X-Ray Visor in Metroid Prime Remastered?
As players travel through the Crashed Frigate Orpheon in Metroid Prime Remastered, they will eventually arrive at the Great Tree Hall. This is the general area where the X-Ray Visor can be found, but Samus needs the Power Bomb to destroy the Bendezium that's found there.
After getting the Power Bomb from the Phazon Mines, Samus will actually get a notification that prompts her to get the X-Ray Visor. Thankfully, there is an elevator in Phazon Mines that will take players right back to the Great Tree Hall. This elevator can be accessed via the Main Quarry after getting the Grapple Beam.
Once back at the Great Tree Hall, players need to travel to the top of the area. On the right of the Great Tree is a Spider Ball track that leads to a block of Bendezium. Travel up the track and use a Power Bomb to blow up the Bendezium, and a Morph Ball hole will appear. Go through, use the Boost Ball to get up through the crevice, and players will actually drop on the platform with the X-Ray Visor.
While acquiring the X-Ray Visor is great, getting out of that room can be pretty tough. First of all, players need to use the X-Ray Visor right away to see that there is an area right outside the room they're in. Use another Power Bomb to blow up the walls around the area.
This will reveal the path to getting back to the Great Tree Hall. At some point, though, Chozo Ghosts will attack. Thankfully, they are much easier to fight with the X-Ray Visor, since Samus can always see them. Spray them with Super Missiles, and the fight should be over quick.
