Hogwarts Legacy is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. While Mac hasn't traditionally been the platform of choice for gamers, those dedicated enough can find workarounds. That being said, it varies from title to title.
Can you play Hogwarts Legacy on MacOS?
There isn't a way to natively play Hogwarts Legacy on Mac. Additionally, the traditional methods for playing games on unsupported platforms like Microsoft's Game Pass or NVIDIA's GeForce Now, unfortunately, don't include Hogwarts Legacy. However, that won't stop determined witches and wizards.
Intel-based Macs
For Macs with an Intel CPU, it is possible to install Hogwarts Legacy, but it will take a bit of work. the first step is to partition your hard drive and reserve at least 200GB of space for both the impending Windows installation and Hogwarts Legacy. Bear in mind that you'll want to ensure the Mac meets the minimum specs to run Hogwarts Legacy.
To partition the drive and install Windows, we recommend using Apple's Boot Camp Assistant. Once that's done and Windows is up to date, download Steam or the Epic Game Store to purchase and install Hogwarts Legacy.

M1 & M2 Macs
It gets trickier for Macs that use Apple's proprietary M1 or M2 chipsets. To play Hogwarts Legacy, players will need to add an Xbox to the equation. With that and a copy of Hogwarts Legacy, players can stream the title to their Mac using OneCast. For $19.99, players can purchase the software and then stream from their Xbox to their Mac. Even better, OneCast supports the use of an Xbox controller.
