Primal Infusions are WoW Dragonflight's answer to breaking through the 392 item level limit with crafted gear. While they are not difficult to understand, we'd like to mention a few nuance details that may help you obtain them. Here's what we know about Primal Infusions.
WoW Dragonflight - Primal Infusions Detailed
If you're looking to craft anything above item level 392, you will need to get your hands on a Primal Infusion. To do so, you're going to need two primary resources:
- 10x Primal Focus
- 100x Primal Chaos
Primal Focuses drop from any Mythic+ dungeon at +11 or higher and drop from Heroic boss kills in the Vault of the Incarnates raid. Primal Chaos can be obtained by doing almost any activity available in Dragonflight, including PvP.

By combining 10 Primal Focus with 100 Primal Chaos, you will be able to craft a Primal Infusion, which allows you to craft items at item levels 395 to 405. In addition, there is a higher tier of Primal Infusion that you can obtain called a Concentrated Primal Infusion. While it works extremely similar to a normal Primal Infusion, it does require slightly different resources:
- 10x Concentrated Primal Focus
- 150x Primal Chaos
Concentrated Primal Focuses can only be obtained from Mythic boss kills in the Vaults of the Incarnate raid. Concentrated Primal Infusions allow you craft items at item levels 408 to 418. Once you have your infusion, go to your respective crafting station, and select the item you wish craft. Click on Infusion with Power, and select your infusion. From there, gather your typical resources for the craft, and you're done. Enjoy crafting items above item level 392.
