Cinderace is the second 7-Star Tera Raid event in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. This Fire-type starter will have the Fighting Tera type and the Mightiest Mark, making it a desired Pokémon to catch. However, you may notice that you sometimes cannot catch Cinderace, which may leave you wondering why you can't catch the Tera Raid Cinderace in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
Why can't I catch Cinderace in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet?
During the Tera Raid event in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, you cannot catch a second Cinderace. This is because a limit allows each player to catch only one Cinderace through this raid. If you have already caught one Tera Raid Cinderace, you will not be able to catch a second.

This means that if you caught the Tera Raid Cinderace during the first week event of the event, you could not catch one during the second week of the event. You can still battle the Tera Raid Cinderace; you simply cannot get another this way. You are only allowed to capture one Tera Raid Cinderace per save file, meaning even if you release it, you will not be able to get another.
How to get a second Cinderace in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet
You can still, however, get a second Cinderace. The easiest method is to trade with another player, though few will likely be willing to trade this event Pokémon. Instead, you can breed the Tera Raid Cinderace and get Scorbunny. You can then level Scorbunny up and evolve it into Cinderace.
