Best Nature for Scatterbug, Spewpa, & Vivillon in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

What is the best Nature for these Pokémon?

While there are some really cool new additions in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, such as Gimmighoul and Gholdengo, making their first appearance, there are also well-established Pokémon to add to a team. One of these evolutionary lines players can catch in the game is Scatterbug, Spewpa, and Vivillon. Even though these monsters aren't the best for combat, players who plan on keeping them on their team will want to make them as effective in battles that they can be. For that, they will need to hunt down ones with good Natures, so continue reading for the best choices.

Scatterbug, Spewpa, and Vivillon are fairly lackluster in battle. There are a couple of clear choices for their Natures though. Since the later evolutions don't have any Physical Attack moves, it would be a good idea to choose a Nature that trades away their useless Attack stat for something more impactful.

  • Modest (+Special Attack, -Attack)
  • Timid (+Speed, -Attack)

The best Natures for the job would be Modest or Timid since they whittle down at their Physical Attack stat while boosting their Special Attack and Speed respectively.

How to choose the best Nature in Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Players can look to a few different things to help make the Nature choice a bit easier. A Pokémon's base stats and move pool should be consulted when choosing a Nature. The move pool should match up well with the Pokémon's stats, meaning that a Pokémon that has lots of powerful Special Attacks shouldn't have a Nature that lowers the Special Attack stat. The base stats can also let players know which areas a Pokémon is most proficient at, and the best Natures will often raise the strongest stats while lowering the worst ones.
